Fancy Favor Box of Cards

I shared this very pretty box of 3 inch square note cards as my gift to workshop and stamp club hostesses during February. I got the idea for the embossed box (complete with the glitter) from a Stampin' Up "home office" video -- and I'll share that with you later. If you click on the photo it will show up larger and you should be able to see the glitter on the raised portions of the embossed design. FYI -- in the video he sponges on his glue -- I wound up just touching the lines with the tip of the Two-Way Glue Pen as that worked better for me and I did not get too much glitter on my box. (it's Iridescent Ice glitter of course) So pretty in person!

Here is a look at all four cards that I put in the box. Even the mini square white envelopes fit inside as well. IMG_2900

Here are some close ups of each card so you can see the texture on some of the cards. The colors are So Saffron and Pretty in Pink and the paper accents are the Sweet Stitches designer paper -- three use stamps from Clearly for You or You're a Gem (two favorite sets from the Occasions mini) -- and the card with the Turquoise paper button embellishment uses a saying from the Occasions set Bring on the Cake. And that button? Die cut and embossed in one step with the Sweet Buttons Embosslit (iem #121813):

The little pearl and rhinestone accents on the last two cards just make them. Again, click on any card and it will open in a larger size. Now here is that video -- and he shares a great tip for how to fold the score lines on your Fancy Favor box die cut so they don't tear along the pre-scoring. Great tip and I love the die cut piece of paper accenting the top of the box. Enjoy!
