Helping Haiti
January 21, 2010
Stampin' Up has always gone above and beyond to help in times of need. After 9/11 they created a special God Bless America flag stamp with all the proceeds going to the 9/11 fund. We've had special stamps to raise money and awareness about heart disease and breat cancer. They always are donating to Ronald McDonald House charities. So you can imagine that the tragedy in Haiti would be no different. $2 from every "I (heart) Hearts" stamp set sold through the end of February is going to the American Red Cross to assist with Haiti relief. You can see this great stamp set in action by clicking here since I just used it in a recent post.
Stampin' Up employees also wanted to do something that would be fast help on the ground -- so workers at our main distribution center put together personal care kits that will be distributed through existing relief networks. You can see and read all about that touching effort by clicking here -- it will take you to our founder Shelli Gardner's blog.
I have always loved being a Stampin' Up demonstrator because we are guided by what we call a "statement of the heart" -- and helping others is such a part of that. Thank you Stampin' Up for providing these small, yet meaningful ways that we can help ease the unimaginable suffering in Haiti.
