Lattice Die Cut Card

LatticeRazzle I wanted to share a beautiful, simple card idea today with a little embellishment twist that I was inspired to make. I have not seen this little flower yet -- but chances are that someone out there thinks the same way I do. I cut out the new Stampin' Up! Lattice BIGZ die (item #115958) and saved the little flower petal shaped leftovers -- plus the four small diamond shapes that are waste as well. I put the diamonds to work above and below the lattice as part of the card design. The little petals fit perfectly over the petals of Stampin' Up's Five-Petal Flower punch (item #109041). They overlap a little in the center so you have to plan a pretty center to cover that -- in this case a white Halfback Pearl from the SU Pretties kit.
On the Rich Razzleberry version I made the card from smooth card stock and the Lattice from Textured.
Here's a Crushed Curry version where I reversed that -- card from Textured and Lattice from smooth and I think I like that combo best for the contrast. I used Soft Suede for the Five Petal Flower on this one and used the Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon (the plain reverse side).

LatticeCurryCU That's a Sqaure Fire Rhinestone brad in the center (those were just the deal of the week last week so put those to work!) I attached my Lattice, Diamonds and Petals with the SU Two-Way glue pen -- perfect for smaller things. These cards are so pretty in person -- it's tough to photograph them so that the texture shows up -- but I just love them and look forward to making more in lots of colors. This Lattice die is a new favorite and has lots of potential. You can cut it up into smaller pieces -- circles, etc. Ideas are spinning! Enjoy!
