The color combination on this card from the recent "Manly Swap" is a winner that would be good for any occasion. Always Artichoke is the base -- then Vanilla, Bordering Blue and Close to Cocoa make up the layers. The folded back B. Blue edge accented with brads gives it a manly touch -- as does using hemp instead of ribbon. You could substitute any manly image or large greeting in place of the large deer. And the circle Happy Birthday accent from the Think Happy Thoughts set is definitely made to look masculine by adding a small star that was stamped with an image from Starstruck and then punched out with the small star punch. Happy Thoughts set comes with a small flower -- but be inspired to put other small images in the center that fit the personality of your card's recipient. TIP: Consider how the background also adds to the manliness -- that's the Sanded background stamp from SU in Cocoa ink on the Artichoke CS so it really pops -- who needs background paper all the time??
It's been a crazy end of the school year with another week to go for my kids, so that's cut into my blogging time. I'll speed up the manly card showcase and will keep 'em coming!!
