A "CASE" of Scrapbooking Inspiration

Xmaspage2 I love to design a project from scratch, but I'm not above doing "the CASE" when something is just so cute. Plus, that's what the SU catalog is all about -- using all the great photographs for inspiration. CASE stands for "copy and share everything" by the way in case you have not heard that term.

The Christmas scrapbook page is a direct CASE of the wedding themed one on page 131 of SU's Spring/Summer collection. Yes, both are just 6 by 6 "brag book" size pages -- but they manage to pack in lots of space for those smaller detail photos that should be such a part of scrapbooking.

Colors used are Olive, Real Red, River Rock, Vanilla and pieces of the retired Dashing DSP. Circle-punched images came from Sweet Celebrations and It's All Good. The scallop punched image comes from one of the Sale-a-bration free sets available with a $50 purchase starting Feb. 1. I designed a simple first page in my two-page spread to balance out the "busyness" of the blocked page — and give you a perfect place for that larger focal point photo. It uses the new Celebrate Everything set from SU and a row of dots from All in a Row.

Xmaspage1 These two pages were my scrap club pages for January and I encouraged everyone to really put small photos, about 1 & 3/4 inch square, on the small mats -- as I promise I will be doing. Think close-ups of the cookies left for Santa, the presents under the tree waiting to be unwrapped, the mess five minutes after the kids tear into those packages! You get the idea.

So browse through your favorite inspiration books and happy casing! I just always give credit where credit is due for the inspiration.
