I'm catching up on my blog with this cute notepad that was a project at my new catalog Open House yesterday. Thanks to everyone who stopped by! This little pad is celery card stock that's 3 1/2" inches wide by 11" long. Score it at 5", 5 1/2" and 6" and then fold so it has a little gusset at the bottom and can stand up. The images on the front are all from the new set Double-Line Doodles. The flowers in the set punch out perfectly with SU's 3/4", 1&1/4" and NEW 1" circle punches! Love that. I put the large pink flower on flat and the other two are popped up with our Dimensional adhesive.
Inside are TWO post it pads in the regular square size and the mini size. To make the pads go further and so both fit in without it being too thick, I split the pads in half before taping them inside. The Word Window punch makes a "handle" and magnet tape on both sides at the top make it snap closed. These would be cute standing up at a place setting for a special dinner or tea party -- you could even attach a name tag to the ribbon and use it as a place card as well.
While we were on vacation the new SU 2007-2008 catalog came out and of course I had to track down a nice demonstrator in Cookeville, TN and get a copy. Thank you Rene! She offers clubs and classes so if you're in that part of middle Tenn. check out her website for her schedule and contact info. My husband thought I was a little crazy, but I needed to study that catalog the whole rest of the trip!
Also while we were away, a nice blogger named Fran tagged me and the challenge was to post seven random things about myself so here goes:
- I've been a Stampin' Up demonstrator for almost 10 years and love that
- We've got two great kids
- I could live on chocolate
- I'm a former journalist and now a freelance writer as my "day job"
- While I was a reporter I got to "fly" the Goodyear blimp for a story
- I'm my son's Cub Scout Webelos co-leader
- My blog is called 3-2-1 Stamp! because we live by the Kennedy Space Center and the shuttle launch pads
So there you have it -- all caught up. Thanks Fran and check out her blog.
I'm very excited to get some things from the new catalog soon and will be posting some more new ideas over the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping by!
